AP Exclusive: IRS knew tea party targeted in 2011

Stephen Ohlemacher of the Associated Press writes about how the IRS targeted conservative groups for harassment prior to and during the 2012 election cycle. Glen Beck and others have been saying the same thing for over a year, now. Apparently over 300 applications from conservative groups were set aside for special scrutiny as to their tax-exempt status, with special attention to groups who used the terms "patriot" or "tea party".

The IRS has given an apology, but it is rejected by many groups who say the damage has been done and that those responsible should resign or be fired.

I tend to agree.

It appears to me to be a case of people in perhaps the most powerful government agency using their power and authority to restrict the activities and influence of conservative groups.

Coming on the heels of the Benghazi hearings it makes you wonder how long the American public will allow this type of thing to happen. I guess it depends on whose ox is being gored... if it was a Liberal sacred cow, would they be as silent about it?  I think not...

Anyway, check out the story--it's reported here through the KSL Online News in Salt Lake City:

IRS Targets Tea Party Groups

Please pass this on to everyone you know... the only way to make the cockroaches scatter is to throw a little light on 'em...
